My name is Tim Battle. I am the owner and operator of Battle Groundz Baseball. In 2003 I was blessed with the opportunity to play professional baseball with the New York Yankees. The Yankees selected me in round 3 of the 2003 amateur draft. The same season I was diagnosed with Bcell Lymphoma in my left 4th rib. Immediately after completing my 6 months of chemotherapy treatments I went back to have a 14 year career in professional baseball. This game has always been a passion of mine and its something I take very seriously. Baseball has taught me a lot and has done a lot for me in my family. With that I plan on giving back to our communities the professional experience that I have attained so that they can achieve the same level of success and more.
Battle Groundz Baseball was created to help serve our baseball families. My passion, drive, energy and dedication to this game is on another level. Baseball has been apart my life for as long as I know. My main focus with our training is to get you at the top of your game. When it comes to playing baseball at a higher level you have to have a mental connection with discipline.
With over 15 years of playing experience in professional baseball my expertise and abiity to critique the smallest imperfections within your swing and help you gain quckness on defense will help you grow in ways you never thought you could.
When hitting we focus on balance, control, stability, athleticism, and an overall approach about to how become a professional hitter. My main goal is to help the player create more consistency within their swing. Staying aggressive and taking quality swings to create production.
When working on defense we focus on footwork, quickness, first step, instincts, and the ability to go get the ball in any situation. When playing defense you have to want the ball to come to you. Always anticpating something to happen and you being involved in the play.
Baseball will forever be apart of my life. I thank God everday for giving me the ability to literally change someones life through the game of baseball. Grateful for the opportunities that he has given me and excited to see my students excel. Here's a few pics from my journey...!!!
